Public survey on perceptions of places of worship
In collaboration with the Baroness Warsi Foundation, a charity working to improve social mobility, gender equality and religious understanding, we launched a national survey to explore people's perceptions on the future of places of worship in the UK and their place in society.
Bradford: Faith, Architecture and Community workshop
In another partnership with the Baroness Warsi Foundation, we held a multi-faith workshop at Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara in Bradford in May 2017. The workshop brought together 20 people who are active in places of worship locally to explore their relationship with their buildings and the role that faith plays in the social and cultural life of the city.
Synagogue workshop
In July 2017 we organised a workshop at West London Synagogue in partnership with the AHRC-funded Ritual Reconstructed project which brought together members of Masorti, Reform and Liberal Jewish communities in London, as well as others who volunteer at synagogues. The workshop explored the role of the synagogue within communities and how design affects how people interact with it.
