Learning from past projects
'Learning from the past', is our research strand focussed on capturing experiences from past projects and practices through desk research, site visits, interviews, focus groups and sharing events.
The site visits are structured workshops with people who were responsible for visioning and realising transformations in their places of worship. The workshops normally involve a walkabout where we divide in groups to explore perceptions and values around architecture, faith, heritage and community. This is followed by a mapping exercise where participants collaboratively reflect on the timeline of their project and identify key milestones and key assets that made things happen. We also elicit impacts and top tips for other groups to follow.
